Pacific Heights Edwardian
Built in 1904, this Pacific Heights home has lived many lives, gaining and losing pieces of its old-world charm along the way. The new owners saw a home brimming with potential, and tasked Wade Design to restore its historic character while adapting the 7,200-square-foot residence for modern family life. The interiors were stripped to the studs and reimagined. Custom cabinetry, baseboards, window trim, and casework honor the Edwardian aesthetic, while stained-glass windows and Venetian plaster walls blend old and new. The main floor was opened to connect living, dining, and kitchen spaces, anchored by a sweeping curved staircase with plaster walls. A scullery provides functional support, allowing the kitchen’s central island and custom range hood to shine. Upstairs, the primary suite features a floating bed, art vestibule, and circular ceiling detail, while the top floor now houses a home office, spa, gym, and bar. Outside, a terraced edible garden and glass-enclosed pergola complete this timeless yet revitalized home.
